Background
The award is a result of the cooperation between EORNA and Mölnlycke Health Care. The goal is to continually raise the level of knowledge for health care staff by offering means for scientific research. It aims also to support projects and study trips as well as translations and printing of publications and brochures. The quality of patient care or staff working conditions in the perioperative environment is always the main focus.
The topic for the research project 2006-2009 was: “How can a knowledgeable and competent OR nurse help reducing stressful situations in the perioperative environment?” The winner, Teija-Kaisa Liljeblad, Finland, will present her research work on the next EORNA Congress in Copenhagen, Denmark, 2009.
